A unique culinary experience in Amsterdam! Enjoy an eight-course menu freshly prepared on board by our Chef. Take your event to the next level by organizing a Walking Dinner in Amsterdam with Rederij Mokum. During the dinner you can watch the beautiful Amsterdam while we make sure your hands are never empty.

The Walking Dinner package is a culinary highlight for you and your guests. In collaboration with van Barneveld Culinair we have created a special 8-course menu. The 8-course menu changes seasonally. Treat yourself and book a Walking Dinner package in Amsterdam! 

 

What can you expect during our Walking Dinner?

We welcome you on board with glass of bubbly. The idea of a Walking Dinner is that all dishes are eaten standing up so you are free to move throughout the boat and chat with everyone. 

Our Chef will prepare all dishes fresh on board and our hostess will serve them. Ondertussen schenken wij de heerlijkste wijnen. Een Walking Dinner duurt minimaal 2,5 uur. Het Walking Dinner arrangement van Rederij Mokum is de meest culinaire rondvaart voor grote groepen door Amsterdam.

Dining in historical ships

Rederij Mokum has a beautiful historic salon boats. Our boats offer every comfort on board. In bad weather, our boats are wonderfully heated. With nice weather the windows and roof can be fully opened. A Walking Dinner aboard one of our ships is an intimate way to enjoy the Amsterdam canals.

Walking Dinner for small and large groups

You can book a Walking Dinner with us for 20-50 people. We will gladly make you an offer. 

Sailing through the canals, we can organize a dinner cruise in one ship for up to 50 guests. If there are more, we can always use more ships.

Can we choose or do we eat a set menu?

Van Barneveld offers an 8-course menu with something for everyone. Should you really not like a dish we can always come up with a replacement.

Do we eat the dishes sailing through the canals of Amsterdam? Or will we lie still in front of a restaurant?

The dishes will be prepared on board and will therefore be savored while sailing on the beautiful canals of Amsterdam.

What is the difference between an Amsterdam dinner cruise and a walking dinner?

With a dinner cruise, dishes are served seated on board and eaten at a long table with a Walking Dinner, several small dishes are served standing up.

Does this mean we have to stand all the time?

There are standing tables available to hang out on and we always have chairs on board for the elderly or those who want to rest their legs for a while.
